To help meet the demand for quality child care in the inner city, we are providing a new Green Square childcare centre at 3 Joynton Avenue, Zetland. Construction has commenced on site and is due to be completed in early 2017.

Works include refurbishing the outpatient building at the former South Sydney Hospital site to provide a 74-place early education and care centre.

The childcare centre is part of an exciting new community space at Green Square. The design by Fox Johnson architects aims to retain the integrity of the existing building while incorporating a contemporary new addition and wrap-around verandah.

The City’s contractor, Iqon Pty Ltd, will minimise any disruptions to traffic flow and pedestrian access.
