Shore Discovery Point

Discovery Point is a waterfront residential community where Probuild completed Stages 8-10, known as Shore, of the precinct.

Over the 22-month program, Probuild delivered two 20-storey residential towers housing 323 luxury apartments whilst meeting strict environmental and rail authority approvals due to adjacent protected wetlands and nearby rail corridors.

Positioned on the shores of the Cooks River just 10kms from Sydney CBD, Discovery Point will feature 1500 apartments across 14 buildings. The masterplanned community will be home to approximately 3500 residents on completion.

Probuild has been appointed as builder for the upcoming final stage of Discovery Point, Marq and Icon (Buildings 11, 12 and 13).

Equinix Data Centre

The Equinix Data Centre in Alexandria had a project scope involving managing the finalisation of design for the 18,000m² facility while fast-tracking the construction approvals and delivery activities. Time being of the essence, the construction programme had a target completion duration of less than 12 months, including independent commissioning.

The Stage 1 Works of a three stage programme involved the complete refurbishment of the Harry Seidler warehouse structure through base building works, façade, external civil, landscaping, office and amenities, 30 new plant rooms and the fitting out of two co location areas. Stages 2 and 3 are new co location areas.

The Construction Management approach allowed John Holland to work collaboratively with the client to provide innovative systems to ensure project timings and objectives were met. Complexities included working within an existing building, site contamination, negotiating and expediting long lead equipment, and maintaining the highest quality standard on site to achieve the 99.999% reliability target.

In a first for Australia, the project has been designed and delivered to achieve a US Green Council Gold LEED rating.

Eclipse Tower

Eclipse Tower is an iconic and uniquely designed landmark building arrayed over 19 levels with large 1,320 sqm floor plates and a side core. The building offers secure basement parking for 144 cars and 193 bicycle racks and shower facilities.

Eclipse Tower has acheived a 5 Star Green Star Office Design v2 Rating and a 5 Star Green Star As Built v2 Rating by the Green Building Council of Australia. The development has also achieved a 5 Star NABERS Energy rating.

In July 2013, Eclipse Tower was awarded “Best Commercial Development” at the Urban Taskforce 2013 Development Excellence Awards, presented by the Governor of NSW, Marie Bashir. The development also received a Commendation at the 2013 UDIA NSW Awards for Excellence in the category of Commercial and Retail.
